Nine faculty members from the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering have been named recipients of the 2023 IU Trustees Teaching Award, which honors faculty members who have made positive impacts on learning through the direct teaching of students, especially undergraduates.
“The amazing faculty at the Luddy School make a tremendous impact on student learning,” Dean Joanna Millunchick said. “Providing them with the necessary skills is important, but the best educators also inspire and build confidence. I’m extremely proud of our Trustees Teaching Award recipients.”
Award winners are Associate Professor of Informatics and Computing Yong Yeol Ahn, Assistant Professor of Information and Library Science Kahyun Choi, Senior Lecturer Dan-Adrian German, Assistant Professor Dana Habeeb, Associate Professor of Intelligent Systems Engineering Vikram Jadhao, Assistant Professor of Computer Science Xiaojing Liao, Lecturer Dan Pierz, Professor of Computer Science Amr Sabry, and Senior Lecturer Jennifer Terrell.
The Trustees Teaching Awards are given each spring to honor outstanding teaching during the prior calendar year. Department chairs and deans identify candidates. Faculty selected for the Trustees Teaching Award will receive a monetary award and are honored at a reception in the fall.
